Unsubscribe from VAT Services on Amazon

Contact Seller Support, and your request will be routed to the VAT Services on Amazon team who will provide the next steps.

In general, the Tax Agent requires a three-month notice period to unsubscribe from a given country that you previously signed up for in VAT Services on Amazon.

Once the VAT Services on Amazon team has confirmed your request, your tax agent would will then send a letter to the respective tax authority stating that they are resigning as your tax agent. For the next three months, your filings would still be submitted through VAT Services on Amazon for all countries that you originally subscribed for. At the end of the 3rd month, the Tax agent will notify you confirming that you have been unsubscribed from the given country. However, to assist you in the transition, your tax agent will provide:

  • a. All past filings submitted through VAT Services on Amazon for the country
  • b. Your filing calendar for the next six months for the country

Note: You may still have a filing obligation in the unsubscribed country.

Deregister your VAT number from a given country

In order to initiate a VAT number deregistration process for a given country, your VAT filings and VAT payments needs to be up to date in that country.

Follow the steps below:

  1. Click Message Tax Agent
  2. Send a message that you would like to deregister from your VAT number from a given country
  3. Fill in the form that the tax agent sends you and send it back to the tax agent

Your tax agent will then submit your VAT cancellation application to the tax authority, and will notify you once the process has been completed.
