The Inventory Loader lets you do the following:
To use the page matching features of Inventory Loader, you must provide a product identifier and specific information about your offer. You can use a SKU and selected listing data when modifying existing listings.
Because Inventory Loader cannot be used to create new product detail pages, you do not need to provide detailed product data. A single Inventory Loader file can be used to upload or modify listings in multiple product categories at the same time.
There are four basic steps to use the Inventory Loader file template:
If a value is not included in the field below, your listing will not go live on the Amazon website. Under certain circumstances, values are also required in other fields. (See details in the Desired Inventory Loader Fields section below.)
sku: A SKU is a "stock-keeping unit" used to track inventory. Each SKU you create must be unique to an individual item in your current template and existing listings. A SKU can be any alpha-numeric string. Avoid using symbols or spaces in your SKU.
The columns with orange headers are desired: the data you enter for these fields gives customers the basic information they need to make an informed purchasing decision. We highly recommend that you fill in all desired fields. Not providing data in desired fields can result in poor product descriptions and make your product hard to find.
The ISBN, ASIN, EAN or UPC number of the product (refer to the item barcode). It must be entered without spaces or dashes. If you are using a spreadsheet application, enter this information in text format in order to preserve the zeros at the beginning of the field.
This field is required if values have been entered in the "product-id-type" field.
This is the numerical entry that indicates if the product-id is an ASIN, ISBN, UPC, or EAN.

Items shipped by the vendor: Enter the quantity of the item available for sale. These are the items available and in stock. The amount is mandatory for all items shipped by the seller. If the field is left blank, the item will be considered "out of stock".
Items shipped by Amazon: Please do not enter an amount. This field does not apply to products shipped by Amazon. Please enter instead a valid value in the "fulfillment-center-id" field. Please see the "Data Definitions" tab for the Inventory Loader file for details.
This field is required if values have been entered in the "product-id" field.
Indicate with an "a" those listings you wish to update/add to your current inventory. Indicate with a "d" those listings you wish to close in your current inventory. The listings will remain in the system, retaining listing details.
Indicate with an "x" only those listings which you wish to completely delete from your current inventory. All product information for these listings will be completely removed, and cannot be recovered once removed. It is recommended that you not delete your listings, but close them instead, so that the data will be retained. If no value is provided for this field, the record will be applied as an update/add.
