Slime and Magnetic putty

I. EU requirements

Amazon’s policies require that certain slime and magnetic putty sold through the Amazon website meet specified certification standards. In order to sell these products on Amazon, you must apply by submitting the following to child-safety@amazon.co.uk.

• Company name
• Seller ID or Vendor ID
• Email address
• Phone number
• The store where you are listing your ASINs
• List of Slime or Magnetic Putty ASINs you are applying to sell
• For each Slime or Magnetic Putty ASIN you want to list, provide product images showing:
  • Product name or model number
  • CE marking
  • Name and address of the manufacturer or EU-based importer in case the manufacturer is based outside EU
• Test report from a certified laboratory to prove compliance to EN 71-1 and EN 71-3. This can be obtained from the brand owner or official importer in EU.
• You can obtain EC Declaration of conformity from the brand owner or official importer of the products in EU.
• EC Declaration of conformity, which can be obtained from the brand owner or official importer of the products in EU.

What is Slime?

Toy slime is a viscous, squishy and oozy material, made from a mixture of silicone polymers and chemicals, including boric acid. Powdered fillers and dry pigments (glitter, dyes) might also be added to change the visual aesthetics of the product.

What is Magnetic putty?

Magnetic putty is a toy based on silicone polymers that have unusual physical properties. It bounces, but it breaks when given a sharp blow, and it can also flow like a liquid. Differently to other putty toys, magnetic putty contains ferric substances, which gives it magnetic qualities.
